I very much like the Multiple Mechanism Auto-Rewind Spool Holder which brilliantly solves the issue of rewinding spool when using Prusa's MMU2 filament switcher to print multi material objects: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3691892
One little issue I had with it was the noise made by the track when reaching the last step, and then falling one step back, which would happen quite often.
Which is why I designed a track whose bottom is made with Ninja Flex (shore 85A), at 10% infill, which makes a perfect noise muffler.
I didn't print the track as one multi-material object, because flex filament does not cope well with MMU, so I made two parts that just clip one into the other.
The noise difference is impressive, it's totally worth it for me.
And here is a set of tabs to label your spools, which can be handy when they are a bit far or on a high location: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4865801
