I do not take any responsibility and I´m not liable for any damage caused through use of this product. Always be careful and use required safety equipment. Update 24/10/17: Version for 1 inch pvc pipeUpdate 26/3/18: Added extension baffles, 20mm and 40mm in length
This is a modular silencer (or lead dust collector) designed for a 4.5/5.5mm (.177/.22cal) pcp air rifle. Could be usable for 6.35mm (.25cal ) as there should be enough clearance for the pellet but I have not tested it for this caliber. Right now it is threaded for 1/2 UNF x 20 as it is widely used.
All pieces are 36mm (inner) /40mm (outer) in diameter. Baffles are 20mm in length, threaded barrel cap takes 15mm and the end cap takes 10mm of room in length. Use 36mm (inner D) / 40mm (outer D) pipe for the body.
In the photos I´ve printed 10 pieces of baffles (PETG) so the length for the body (pipe) would be: 10x20mm + 15mm +10mm = 225mm. I´m using pvc pipe for the outerior for it is cheap, light and easily available in hardware stores.
I suggest using epoxy or strong glue for the threaded barrel cap and using 2-3 scrub crews (you need to make a hole and thread them) for the end cap. This way you can remove one of the caps and service the inner pieces if needed.
I used PLA on my first version (painted it black) and I´ve shot over 500 shots with it, still working well and in one piece. My rifle is regulated and modified Hatsan AT44 with 25 foot-pounds of energy (15.89gr going 850fps).
I SUGGEST using ABS or PET(G) if you can for more strength. Pieces in photos are printed in transparent PETG.
Is it any good?
This is hands down the best silencer I´ve ever used on my rifle (used 8 baffles).
