(update - fixed my typo Serpinski to Sierpinski - my thanks to user who pointed this out).
This is a Sierpinski Pyramid with 4 Triangle faces. Each face adds an iteration of the
Sierpinski Triangle fractal.
Face 1 = solid
Face 2 = 3 solid triangles, 1 hole triangle
Face 3 = 9 solid triangles, 4 hole triangles
Face 4 = 27 solid triangles, 13 hole triangles
Added Optional "SerpinskiPyramidConnectors01.stl" file to help glue these together to continue the iterations.
(Optional) To iterate by stacking these:
Print 4 Pyramids
Print 6 connectors
Stack Pyramids and glue on connectors as pictured to brace them in place.
Do steps 1 to 3 x 4 for each new iteration and stack as large as you dare.
Warning: Scaling this item can result in very weak joints between the internal triangles. I recommend printing at 100% scale. I did manage to print a 50% scale version but needed some super glue to reinforce the triangle bonds.
