ok 3rd time uploading and describing this thing (Thanks Thingiverse's glitchy interface)
So... This is an Ear Hook for a Siemens Signia RUN SP behind the ear hearing aid. My wife is very hard of hearing and we bought a Siemens RUN SP hearing aid from India. Great hearing aid for a very good price. Unfortunately the consumables on this are hard to get. You have to order ear hooks from India, and there are a few problems with this. #1 the ear hooks are $25 each, which is ridiculous for a small plastic tube. #2 the cheap (or free) shipping is slow 4-6 weeks if you are lucky, the fast shipping takes 3-8 days but costs $25+. So I decided F**K it I'll print one. So I started my favorite CAD software (Designspark Mechanical) and grabbed my trusty super quality (snicker) Harbor Freight Tools digital caliper and got to work. It took me a few design iterations before I got one that worked. I tried this like 2 years ago with an FDM printer and had no success, the resolution just wasn't there to do these tiny parts. So this year I got an LCD Resin printer (or 3) and these were capable of the needed precision! They work very well to connect the vinyl tube on the earmold to the hearing aid body. I have printed a few of these and they seem to work very well (wife has not bitched about them yet).
I am including both threaded and unthreaded models, with and without supports.
I found the unthreaded model holds tighter when you use the hearing aid as a tap on the green part, then hardening it after. The threaded ones work too, but was not as happy with them.
