Siteboard Casework - Contemporary design fused with Oriental Overtones - I made this sideboard from bubinga. The doors on the casework had a bubinga front and quilted maple interior. Knobs for doors and drawers are hand-cut from Macasser ebony. I used shaker style raised panel doors for nice clean lines. All bubinga is dyed with Lockwood Rosewood (to match other furnishings in the room). The casework is finished in Tung oil (polimerized) and the drawer and door fronts have a French-polish top finish. Drawers are traditional with hand-cut dovetails. Drawer interiors are sealed with shellac. #contemporary #oriental #Sideboard
