Shrimp protection for aquarium filter by Plaete

I have a few shrimps in my aquarium to keep it clean of algae (what they don't really achieve). The internal filter has a very wide outlet which should be under the water level according to the manufacturer.
Instead of eating the algae the shrimp decided to climb into the filter and let the food just flow into their mouths. Lazy folks!
To keep the shrimp out of the filter and remaining the water flow I created this outlet-grid for my "Tetra EasyCrystal FilterBox 600"-filter
Please note: This thing does not make the filter "baby-shrimp-save" since the inlets are still to big for baby-shrimps and they might get sucked in.
