The Short S.25 Sunderland was a British flying boat patrol bomber developed for the Royal Air Force by Short Brothers, first flown on 16 October 1937 by Shorts' Chief Test Pilot, John Lankester Parker. Powered by four 1,065-hp engines, it had a top speed of 205 mph. It was the nemesis of the U-boat fleet, and was capable of saving entire crews of ships with it's 80+ person capacity. Germans nicknamed it 'Stachelschwein'--'Porcupine', because it was incredibly difficult to shoot down. Later versions had 18 guns, the most on any WWII Plane. This model is is about 75% accurate. The engines are from an excellent model of a B-25 by JIHS.
