Update 11/22/19: Tightened tolerance between hinge joints to reduce slop between hinges. Mostly to reduce clatter noise when operating quickly. If you downloaded prior to the aforementioned date I recommend you grab these new ones.
Please leave comments if you'd like any changes or additional styles / versions or sizes.
This was such a simple thing I couldn't believe I couldn't find a quality little RC hinge on here that was designed properly. Everyone I tried was tolerenced very poorly or even in some cases didn't work at all due to too small of hinge pin holes that ended up being a hairs width wide after printing, or the joint didn't even fit together as if there was 0 +- tolerenced put into the design. So I decided to make my own and get them up here for everyone.
Properly toleranced hinges so you can actually use them off your printer without tons of extra work and modification. No sanding or drilling to clean things up to make it usable. Intended for use with RC stuff but can be used for anything of course. Designed to be glued to the the surface it hinges. Or socketed into wings (cut some slits in styrofoam and slide the hinge flange in with some glue on it for a nice clean setup).
Print settings don't matter.
Designed for 20 gauge wire (0.81mm) which is the diameter of standard size paper clips and is very commonly used in other wire types. For example any florest shop or even home depot or lowes should carry florest wire for holding plant stems to posts, this commonly comes in 20 guage and works great for hinge wire, for a few dollars you can get 20 two foot wires that'll last you forever.
Any wire under 1.0mm will work fine as well. (1mm wire might be just a little tight to get through)
I'll upload obj files as soon as I can so everyone can download and modify if they need.
