The No.3 Shed in Gisborne's Inner Harbour began life as lighter shed, receiving and dispatching goods to and from region by lighter vessels. Together with the No.1 and 2 sheds, the shed provided dry storage for wool, grain and other essentials. Overtime, the use of the shed for storage fell away and Eastland Port undertook a major renovation of the building in 2007, transforming the building into an iconic centerpiece to the Inner Harbour.
