What do you get when you take innovation, creativity, and the love for helicopters and add them together? You get Sharkeye, a sleek shark appearance that will make anyone nervous upon it's flight profile. This is a concept I have been working on for roughly 200 hours to come to a model that a hobbyist, or possibly the Department of Defense would consider. This is a concept derived based upon the X-49 Speed Hawk, the concept idea is a aerodynamic helicopter that has the ability to hover with the utmost stability using a 4-blade head rotor yet have the ability to make fast forward flight and track like an aircraft with the aid of the pusher fan unit. To cut down on parasitic drag, as desired for any endurance UAV, I have removed the conventional landing skids and am using the winglet landing gear method as designed on my Project X 4.0.
