Shallower than the original.
Incl. new Top drawer.
This does not fit the Pro version.
Why
The original drawer case was colliding with the Y axis roller screws of my printer and needed to be a little bit shallower.
Design Details
3mm shallower than the original, 50mm high in total. Has more holes to reduce material need. Modified the v-slot inserts to make installation easier. X axis pulley has to be still remove, though.
Case measures 50mm from top to bottom.
Top drawer included (but the handle looks different). Original Bottom drawer can still be used with this.
I also used it with the spacer from the original Thing (enlarged in Z to 10mm) to avoid danger of squishing the display ribbon cable.
Print Instructions
Print case upright.
Print drawer laying flat.
Infill can probably be reduced.
I printed the first few millimeters of the case and then aborted the print to make sure that it fits with the current screw length because measuring the distance screw to v-slot insert was very difficult.
Assembly Instructions
Remove display with supplied 4mm allen key.
Remove Y pulley
Insert drawer.
Re-mount display again.
Re-mount Y pulley.
Insert drawers
Thing might have problems with Button Box addons.
