3D scanner based on shadow geometry.
All you need is your smartphone except a simple jig to be printed and a blank postcard. No laser projectors or motors needed.
It can measure smooth surface which will fail with photogrammetric method, because it is based on structured light principle.
Image processing is performed on web browser (Google chrome only). Either PCs or smartphones can be used to generate 3D mesh file.
The web app can generate standard PLY file which contains mesh and texture data. It can also generate XYZRGB file (colored point cloud format).
Before printing the thing, please make sure that your smartphone can fix focus and exposure while taking a movie!!
