Sequence of Cubic Numbers and Multiplication Table
Cubic numbers (1, 8, 27, 64, ...) can be obtained from the multiplication table. For example, 64 = 4 + 8 + 12 +16 +12 + 8+ 4 =4 x ( 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1).
In general, n^3 = n x Σ (1, 2, 3, ..., n-2, n-1, n, n-1, n-2, ..., 3, 2, 1) = n x n^2.
Of course, there are other ways to play with the multiplication table. Have fun!
