User megavolt85 on the dreamcast forums released code/firmware for the STM32 "Blue Pill" that works with the Maple protocol that the Sega Dreamcast uses. My goal was an in-expensive PS/2 adapter so I could connect PS/2 keyboards and mice that I already have instead of spending a decent amount for an original compatible dreamcast/keyboard. In the USA the sega keyboards and mice are going above $60 each. I found this SMT32 holder on thingiverse and re-mixed it to hold the PS/2 sockets that I got and a spot to zip tie down the controller cable.
Info, firmware, and wiring schematics here:https://www.dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?style=6&f=5&t=13058
Parts I used:
STM32 blue pill board
Leyal 10PCS Mini 6PIN Female PCB Mount PS2 Jack Mouse Keyboard Plug Connector
Generic dreamcast controller extension cables from ebay
10k ohm resistor
servo wire I had laying around
On March 12th 2021, Megavolt released another firmware so my plan is to wire up gamecube ports since twin stick is supported with that!
