Located on Rialto Beach in Clallam, WA...Evolving from the natural context, this refuge is embedded within a large sedimentary rock form, or sea stack. With the focus on the formation of the coastal region, the horizontal configuration of the roof plate imitates plate tectonic activity and the sliding glass panels which open to the water, simulate that of glacier movement.
