This is a head mounted rear-view mirror for SCUBA diving.
It can be used:
to self check for bubbles (especially for solo divers using a backmount configuration)
maybe look for buddies that like to stay behind :D
The mirror used is a 51mm (in diameter) blind spot / dead-angle mirror for cars that I've found on amazon for 5.89€ / 2 pcs:

(Different brands of the same Chinese mirror, just check that it's 51mm or 5.08cm).
The mirror comes with a 3M layer on the back. Otherwise some glue would suffice. The curvature of the mirror should be around r=131mm and the holder follows the same curvature to provide a suitable resting point for the mirror.
The holes are 2mm in diameter and just enough to pass a diving elastic / bungee cord through it. If you have problems passing the bungee cord, what it did is pull it (to make it thinner) and use some scotch tape to make a sharp point and pull it through. The holes are narrow so that it blocks and remains in position once adjusted.
I'm including the FreeCAD model in case you want to modify it to suit your needs.
Hope you'll find it useful in case you buy the same mirror.
