Known as the ‘Twin Pin’, it first flew in 1955. Only 87 were built, but they did a lot of varied service as an airliners, air taxis, survey planes, and even warbirds in the Middle East, and the Jungles of Malaysia, Borneo, Laos and Vietnam. The model represents Twin Pin CC2, G-APRS, which had as varied a career as any. Built 1959, flew with Shell/BP in Nigeria, then Sierra Leone Airways, Kuwait Oil Co. in 1965 transferred in military service with the Empire Test Pilot's School at Farnborough UK, and allocated military serial XT610. After 10 years, returned to civilian use as G-BCWF for survey flights. It was purchased by Air Atlantique in 1993, reverted to its original registration, joined the airshow circuit, and was also used for pleasure flights. It must have been fascinating to explore the full extent of its incredible STOL performance. So it's not surprising that, ETPS borrowed it back from time to time, during which acquired its final paint scheme, the 'Raspberry Ripple' colours of ETPS. The shortest description of the machine is probably the most accurate, that it is 'a six-and-a-half ton, 1,280 horsepower Piper Cub with slightly better performance”. The model has dynamic props, flaps, slats, door and hatches. With very detailed Alvis Leonides engines. Enjoy and please rate. #Aeroplane #Airliner #Airplane #Alvis #Aviation #Dynamic #Pioneer #Radial #RAF #Scottish #STOL #Twin
