Overview
This is a working scale model of the RX-2 Chaipattana Low Speed Surface Aerator.
It was developed in Thailand by King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It has inspired the development and distribution of a wide variety of surface aerator systems now used throughout Thailand to turn otherwise stagnant water into a resource for agriculture, aquaculture, and recreation.

Details
It uses 12V DC 35byj46 stepper motor and driver board + Arduino Nano.
It requires extensive friction welding to assemble. Use a back light to see where gaps may be to ensure your welds are water-tight. Using aquarium silicon sealer along the welds may also be a good idea. A hole drilled in the top of the pontoons fitted with a stopper could be used to drain the pontoons if they take on water.
The motor housing should be either tack welded (using 4-6 spots of welding instead of a single continuous bead along the seams) or hot glued in place. This allows you to remove the housing to work on or replace the motor in the future. Also at spots of hot glue onto the nuts securing the bolt because they come loose during the aerator's operation.
