RUINED COTTAGE
This little model was inspired by numerous abandoned buildings seen in the more remote areas of Britain. It is roughly OO or HO in scale. (1:76, 1:87). It prints okay in one piece without brim, raft or supports. I have modified the design slightly since printing to rectify a few minor issues and improve it slightly.
There are SIX stl files here.
Version 1 is with chimney, version 2 is without chimney. This gives the option to use the model as an abandoned cottage or farm building.
Cottage_only is just the cottage without the attached barn. (untested)
Barn_only is just the barn without the attached cottage. (untested)
GlueUp1 and GlueUp2 are the building split into two parts at a convenient point to enable printing on a small printer. It should glue together okay. (untested)
A fully restored version of the cottage is available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4762561
(You may note that the very first layer under the fireplace looks a bit ragged. Ignore it, it's just some lettering and it sorts out at the second layer.)
Any issues, please comment politely and I may be able to make some modifications. I designed it for my own OO-9 micro-layout. I hope someone will be able to use it too. I'd love to see photos of 'makes'.
I have included a photo of the inspiration for this design.
