This is the hook shoe I designed. It uses the toe to move up and down to control the opening and closing of the bottom claw and grasp the fixed rod. The shape of the bottom gives the foot some room to rotate, which is conducive to work.

When the toes are pressed down, the shoes arch. The claws will grip more tightly and produce upward force. The front and back ends of the shoes will press tightly on the wall. Astronauts can control the toes to grasp, release and adjust with their feet.

If the fixed rod is installed on the wall according to certain rules, after practice, you can only walk with your feet under 0 gravity and free your hands. It's like a bird walking on a tree. In a gravity environment, it doesn't interfere with your activities, it doesn't hook things, just like ordinary shoes.
