This snaps on top of the badBrick model B RaspberryPi case to hold a level-converter for RS232 so the 9-pin D connector can be securely held to the RaspberryPi for easy connection and disconnection. This makes the RaspberryPi significantly more useful as a micro-computer for dedicated devices (I use one for interfacing to a Amateur Radio transceiver via the UART serial built into the RaspberryPi and a USB sound-card)
NOTE: this is the serial adapter that I designed this to fit.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0088SNIOQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That particular adapter is more expensive but works "out of the box" for not only TX/RX but also CTS/RTS pins which my project required.
These CTS/RTS GPIO pins can be enabled with a bit of soldering and programming, details found here: http://dl8scu.wordpress.com/tag/raspberry/
