Updates
08.00.2017 - 01:34: Initial Upload
Added a third cutout for a third disc (doesn't open on accident and is harder to open in general).
Made it round with a riffle pattern (looks cool and has a better grip - harder to figure out the mechanics inside).
Added visual cover (impossible to see inside).
Important!!!! The text cutout you see is FULLY inside the print (won't be updated).
A video showing how it works and how to open/close it would be nice. If someone makes a good one, I will include the link here.
How to open it (pictures above):
1) Place it like in the picture with the big arrow pointing down (20° from the text).
2) Shake it up and down while turning both parts in different directions. Don't give up too soon - it will open.
3) As soon as it turns more than usual, turn careful until you seperate both parts.
Explanation (next picture):
The three discs at an 120° angle prevent it from opening. One disc has to face downwards so the other two can roll inside. By shaking it up and down, you get the third disc inside and it opens.
How to close it (next picture):
First of all, make sure all the parts fit smoothly (both parts and especially the discs!).
1) Place the part with the discs like it is shown.
2) Put one side of the other half in (red area) close it as much as possible - this prevents the top two discs from falling out.
3) Turn it 180° and let the other disc slide in - make sure the disc isn't blocked by the lid.
4) Close, rotate it flat and turn slowly until you can't turn it anymore and shake a little bit.
Material I used: PLA
Printed with an unmodded Prusa i3 clone.
All dimensions in millimeters.
