This is still in progress, needs some test prints
*Additionally, I will be leaving the Badgers and Warlords tokens as they are until final design is printed."
My take on some Root replacement tokens. Some do require supports, I went with tree supports.
Marquise de Cat
-Keep: I opted for a simple design based on the small token
Sawmill, workshop, recruiter: I wanted these simple but 3d. I think creating full buildings around these made it too hard to quickly discern the buildings on the table. I still need to test the recruiter.
-Wood: I opted not to create tokens for these, but will be using coin cases.
Eyrie Dynasties
-Roost: I went for a birdhouse design that still sports the emblem on the roof
Woodland Alliance
-Sympathy Tokens: My ability to create a fist isn't there yet, so I'll be using others designs for the time being
-Base: Went for a wood Fortress feel, trying to capture the icon
Vagabond
I didn't feel a need to improve on other's designs for ruins, and think the cardboard chits are better for the items.
Lizard Cult
-Garden: I tried to really get the vibe of "lizard death cult" in a simple garden wall with a dead tree stump inside
Riverfolk Company
-Trading Post: I tried to mix the feel of a boat rental hut with the signpost from the token, representing the sign on the roof
Underground Duchy
All of the tokens have piles of dirt on them
-Tunnels: Just tried to recreate the token
-Citadel: A small fortress coming out of the ground, I went back and forth on it, and decided not to recreate the fortress from the token for sake of simplicity
-Market: This one took a bit to feel right, as I really wanted to have the barrels from the token in there, I feel good about how I got it.
Corvid Conspiracy
I opted to make no tokens for the corvid, as I don't think I could make the visual part the same throughout for the purposes of hidden information. I opted instead to just use coin cases to protect them.
Lord of the Hundreds (Warlord)
-Stronghold: I basically just tried to recreate the icon on the token, making this large and imposing piece for the board [Based
-Fire: I opted for a broken fire ring surrounding a flame to make the piece interesting while still trying to capture the feeling that its going to be moving.
Keepers in Iron
-Waystation: A simple design based on the tokens on Kickstarter
-Caravan: Originally was two wheeled to be like the art for the badgers, but in the end the 4 wheeled proved easier to print.
-The relics occupy an odd space, so I'll be putting them in coin cases
