I printed replacement miniatures from Dick Poelens models for all of the wooden figures for all factions. Insane, I know.
The miniatures:https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-root-miniatures-84290
Buildings and tokens:https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-root-buiding-and-token-miniatures-85565
Underworld buildings and tokens:https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-root-underworld-miniatures-115572
Vagabonds:https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-root-vagabonds-137440
Root, Root Riverfolk Expansion and Root Underworld expansion boxes are all required to fit it all.
The boxes:
First I used FDM printing, but the models weren't detailed enough for me so I scaled it up to 120%. So I made inserts that would acommodate them, just piling them ut in there. It fit quite nicely and perfectly over three of the Root boxes.
Boxes were made using the very excellent Parametric Insert Toolkit: https://github.com/IdoMagal/The-Boardgame-Insert-Toolkit
Optional: 100% scale print
Later I got a resin printer and re-printed everything at 100% scale and decided to paint it all in better detail. Wanted to avoid piling them up in the boxes, so I made some inlays to put inside the boxes I already had. The figures would slide into these inlays and keep them in place.
Printed vertically. No support needed except for Vagabonds which need one for the handle.
Update: I added the scad files also. Haven't gone through it, so don't know if there's a lot of temporary drafts in there. Using the old BIT system.
