Quick photogrammetry scan of the Roman high walls of Le Mans, France. These historical remnants stand as a testament to the ancient Roman influence in the city of Le Mans (bottom parts of the walls, above it’s medieval). Known for their well-preserved state, these ancient fortifications stretch an impressive length of 1,300 meters around the old town, making them one of the most significant Roman structures in the region.

Currently, the walls continue to encircle the city’s old district, often referred to as Plantagenet City. Built during the 3rd century, these stone walls offer a unique glimpse into the past, as they showcase Roman defensive architecture with their imposing size and robust construction. Despite numerous historical upheavals, they remain remarkably intact, contributing significantly to the city’s rich cultural heritage.
