Low-poly historical accurate (as close as possible) reconstruction of a late roman crossbow, called Arcuballista. This kind of crossbow was depicted only two times on reliefs in the West Roman Empire. They seem to have used a rotating nut trigger system, like the kind I modeled here. The bow could have been made from wood or a composition of wood and linen fabric. My textures show the composite version. The file includes: Arcuballista with shaft, bow, trigger and nut as separate objects Polys/Verts Shaft with handle, wedges and pins (500/573) Bow with string (574/586) Nut (106/110) Trigger (46/48) Further Information Models are: Fully mapped and textured with simple diffuse maps only. In real world scale (centimeters). Collapsed to editable poly, attached, logically grouped, layered and named. Pivots of components are set in right position for movements arcuballista roman crossbow composite linen bow weapon ancient historic empire european mediterranean hunting battle handheld shaft string trigger military archery other roman empire
