This is a simple enclosure for a rocker switch. It's designed to hold a switch with tabs that stick out. Those tuck under the edges of the enclosure. My switch has 1mm between the tabs and the lip of the switch so that's how thick the top of the enclosure is.
I suspect that once you get the switch into this enclosure you're going to need to break the enclosure to get it back out again. It's an intentionally snug fit and while that's great for keeping the switch in place it's not fun if you want to remove it. If you're putting it together I'd recommend testing all your connections before snapping that switch into place.
There are holes on either side of the bottom to feed wire into. I didn't need a large wire gauge so the holes are only 6mm in diameter. If you need larger wire you can easily add 2mm to those holes without running into the sides of the enclosure.
