I didn't design or modify any design, but simply just taking the top mount base (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:158289)and add another spool holder model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:74278 or https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:703881) and combine the two elements with zip-ties.
With the new setup, I don't have to align the spool with tiny supporting wheels, and I can simply just place the spool onto the new setup in no time. The spool is rotating fine without any glitches and slowdown. Just want to share my new finding here with all the other Robo3D R1 users outthere.
