I built this quick as a way to protect my filament from the moisture in the air while it is attached to the printer.
Things you need:
A container that will hold a spool of filament
~ I got mine at Real Canadian Super Store 3 for $8
Screws
~ I used #6x1/2 but shorter screws would be better
5/16" inside 3/4" outside rubber washers
~ Home Depot
A seal for the filament
~ I used a single "Fun Foam" bead from Walmart $2 for a bag full
When drilling place a piece of wood behind the container so it does not break. You will see that there is a larger gasket holder, use that to cover any cracks that may happen.
I drilled all the screw holes in the container over sized so the plastic would not break and drilled all other holes at 1/2".
