This spin and slide braille toy can be used as a fidget toy, as a random (braille) letter generator for games, or as a puzzle for touch readers to help support tactile literacy development.
I can suggest three main ways to use the puzzle to support tactile literacy and language development. If you think of others, please let me know!
As a fidget toy. Simply slide and spin the pieces, while becoming familiar with the feel of braille under the fingertips.
As a random letter generator. Slide and spin the pieces randomly then use the letters to play a game, e.g.
look at one row of letters. Can you think of a word containing the first two letters in the same order? What about the first three letters? Four? E.g. using BLUTR you can make the word “bluster”
look at one row of letters. Can you make up a silly acronym that the letters could represent? Again, see how many of the letters you can use. E.g. KGNM could stand for “Knowledgable Gnomes Naming Mountains”.
boggle. Find as many words as you can using letters that are touching. The letters must be used in the same order that they are shown on the puzzle spinner and they can only be used once.
set a quick timer and move the pieces to make the longest word possible within the time limit (with letters straight along a row)

As a puzzle. Try to arrange the letters on the puzzle to achieve a specific goal, e.g.
all of the pieces in alphabetical order
spell out your name or other words of your choice
all of the vowels together
You can adjust the difficulty by leaving more or fewer spaces on the puzzle.
