Created this to replace a broken latch on my gate. The gate latch is D&D Technologies Lokk Latch Deluxe. Here is a link: http://ddtechglobal.com/product/lokklatch_deluxe. Just need a short piece of aluminum rod. If your latch has broke it is probably due too much force being exerted on the latch. To fix this bolt a piece of angle iron to the fence post with some padding glued to one side. Bolt it to the post that the catch is located on so that it will help absorb the impact of the gate slamming shut. I bolted mine near the top of the post so that it catches the gate just before the latch gets hit by the catch. This has fixed the issue completely.
