Repair Pod

(The following is a fictional description. The designer is under no illusions about the functionality or lack-there-of of this model.) This single person repair pod is designed to assist in the manipulation, deconstruction and or repair of ships. Two smaller arms on the front of the pod can be directly operated by the users hands. Do larger side mounted arms act as anchors for the pod to avoid the need for constant attitude control and adjustment. They also help the user maintain control of large pieces of material during equipment transport and installation. The practical benefit of the repair pod over the traditional spacesuit is that it provides a greater level of protection for in-space repairs. The outer hull can withstand higher temperatures and provides better radiation shielding than traditional vacuum suits. it is also less prone to melting or puncture when it encounters slag or high velocity debris.
