This part is designed to worm through a 32mm diameter hole in a sheet aluminium vented soffit.
This mount is customised for the Reolink B800 bullet camera but the concept would work for any camera where a strong mounting is needed in thin or soft sheet metal.
The mount has three pillars to suit the (Reolink) supplied self tapping screws which will get little purchase on the thin soffit material. This 3D print twists through a hole in the soffit and has a position to hook a small wire or cord to avoid losing it in the enclosed space, the cord can be tucked into the soffit or cut off once at least one screw has been engaged in the plastic.
Printed in PLA the screw holes benefit from being chased out with a 3.5mm (1/8") drill for just the right amount of thread engagement in the plastic. After this operation it is very easy to turn the screws without damaging the philips head and still allow the screws to get a very good grip.
I hope this makes your installation a bit easier!
