Asset information: Bust created by sculpter Alicia Huertas as a tribute to the cartoonist and academic of the Spanish language, Antonio Mingote (1919-2012) who drew humorous cartoons for the newspaper ABC for 60 years.
Mingote’s career was dedicated almost exclusively to graphic humor, reflecting in his drawings the daily life of the people of his time. He drew every day the reality of a changing Spain critiquing culture and politics in printed press mainly ABC, the second largest general-interest newspaper in Spain, and oldest in Madrid.
