This is a replacement for a destroyed connector of a vintage GPO (General Post Office) telephone exchange part called Regenerator No 1. The regenerator is a device used in the middle of the XX century in British telephone exchanges for cleaning the pulse signals flowing between the remote exchange units. The original connector was made of bakelite and had more convoluted shape than this model, but the core functionality can be perfectly met with the simpler "cubic" form.
Please note, the model is designed to host the original metal pins. It only replaces the dielectric "shell". The original springs have simple shape though. Similar ones can be cut off of the thin sheet of steel if necessary.
