18650 Lamp base stl is the file for the base of the led lamp. it holds a single 18650 battery, has has fitted socket for rocker switch (https://www.lowes.com/pd/SERVALITE-Single-Pole-Black-Light-Switch/50107282) available at home improvement stores. I bought the one I am using from Lowes. I have included groves sized for 20awg solid core insulated copper wire and holes into switch socket in the model to allow for easy wiring of battery leads to switch and then to led lamp.
The lamp part of this make is from jasonjones Ball and Socket LED Lamp for MP Select Mini (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1698383) I originally printed his led arm light for my MP mini select printer and decided I would turn it into something portable. (Files: ball_socket_link.obj, led_bar_socket_end.stl, and mount_ball_end.stl)
The 18650 batteries can be found https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=18650. These rechargeable lithium batteries are usually 2500 - 3000 mAh should power a handful of leds for some time before needing to be recharged.
pictures to come...
EDIT: Added 3xBattery base to power 12v leds
NOTE: Remixes/Remakes are highly encouraged. One could add a place to mount TP4056 circuit board (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=TP4056+&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3ATP4056+) which would allow for the recharging of the 18650 in the lamp base.
