Inspired by, though not identical to, the Batmobile in theTelltale Batman video game. Credit goes to Matt Donie of BigBangDesignGuy.com for the renderings that inspired the look of this car.
The version with posts will fit a T-Jet chassis. The version without posts is provided in case someone wants to adapt it to some other chassis.
Car is oriented nose-up to print without added support.
Rear fin support elements can be cut off after printing, and front fins can be cut/sanded to give a swept-back look.
Shell is approximately 0.8 mm thick, made for 0.4 mm extrusion width, single perimeter, no infill, slow 16.5mm/s print speed, 0.1 mm layer height. Uncheck "Detect Thin Walls".
I use Slic3r, which is forgiving about non-manifold objects. This car will likely show as non-manifold in your slicer. There are some thin areas that will cause a slicer to leave holes if you try to make the extrusion width greater than 0.4 mm.
Cars shown were printed in PLA at 215C and full layer fan, using a .35 mm nozzle.
Black Solutech PLA
Purple MARS PLA
Silver MARS PLA
White MARS PLA
The MARS purple PLA is a nice purple - my I-pad camera makes it look almost fluorescent, but it's really not.
