Based on the work of Theo Jansen, this Strandbeest was made using G10 and Delrin cut on my homemade CNC router. The motors are Pololu 20D 73:1 motors (https://www.pololu.com/product/1163) and they are powered by a pair of their simple motor controllers (https://www.pololu.com/product/1372). The leg joints use nylon shoulder washers (http://www.mcmaster.com/#90061a005/=w9n95r) to help reduce friction and wear. I have a ton of aluminum standoffs so those always tend to make it into my designs. The Strandbeest runs off of 2 cell lithium batteries. The bevel gears are from servocity (https://www.servocity.com/html/32_pitch__24_tooth_bevel_gears.html#.VQEnR0fF_Es).
