This is a remix of the excellent Case for Raspberry Pi model B+ and 2 B by Egil. It expands on the adjustable parameters adding a number of new features.
Adjustable depth above and below Pi board to allow for multiple daughter boards.
Adjustable width to allow for printed clips to hold daughter cards in position
Choice of fixing screws in corners as well as through Pi mount holes.
Choice of Raspberry Pi logo in lid
Choice of ventilation grille in bottom
Choice of access in bottom to screw terminals on daughter card (I used this to access speaker terminals on an audio amplifier card)
Choice of 3.5mm power socket on rear (used to power my audio card)
Option for text on side of lid
My motivation was to make an enclosure for a Raspberry Pi B+ with an audio DAC card mounted above it, and an audio amplifier card mounted below to create a RuneAudio server.
Since the amplifier card ran off 9V it needed a 3.5mm power jack, and a 9V to 5V buck converter to power the Pi. If anyone is thinking of making something similar. I do not recommend either the DAC I have used, or the power regulator pictured. The DAC was very susceptible to picking up noise on the power supply, and the buck converter was great at creating noise on the power supply.
STL files are provided both for a standard Raspberry Pi enclosure, and one suitable for a three layer assembly like my audio server.
Also provided are scad files so you can create your own enclosure using OpenScad.
The original scad file from egil was very well laid out. It was a pleasure to work with.
