I was using the case design by Normand and really like it. However, I was noticing the temp on the Pi was up in the 40C range. I looked around for another case with a fan, but didn't find one. So I took Normand's design and added a 40mm fan. It dropped the temp from the 40C range down to the upper 20's.
The fan gets its power from the GPIO connector and because of this, I removed the knockout for it. I created a small opening over the pins were the power is located because there was no space between the case and the pins for the power connector. I relocated the slot for the camera cable to make room for the fan. I only modified the top case from the original design. I am including the unmodified bottom for completeness.
I included a fan cover that provides a blade guard and hides the power connector and wires. It is designed for a 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan. I used M3 x 18mm bolts for mounting the fan and cover. There are also 4 M3 nuts embedded on the underside of the cover.
If you don't mind the connectors and wires being visible, you don't need to use the cover.
