This cut pattern is created by virtually laying just two types of hexagonal tiles randomly in an equal spaced grid array. The seemingly complex patterns can be spontaneously generated by an automated program during manufacture process. Thus it is possible to make every reservoir cover unique while sharing the same recognizable style. To achieve the desired level of detail with minimal cuts, the 350mm size represented in the model file is manufactured as two identical fitted pieces. The 200mm and 100mm sizes can each be economically manufactured as a single piece.
