Included in the Railroad Elements Series this model results mainly from photo analysis and some physical dimensions taken on site. This package is the R100 and INCLUDES FIVE SECTIONS WITH CURVATURE RADIUS OF 100 METERS AND FIVE STRAIGHT SECTIONS FOR A TOTAL LENGHT OF 200 METERS. Each section has 20 meters in extension and is fully compatible with the others. Spacing between sleepers is approximately 1.40m, rails spacing 1.68m and all sections were designed to fit others while maintaining that spacing. You just have to copy, move, rotate and create as much instances as you need to generate your railway path. I really invested some time on details, especially on getting a full volumetric effect on the ballast rocks, detailed clamps and bolts and sleepers have rounded slits to fit the clamps. About the rocks, these are in fact rock models, with decimated geometry that were textured with some different shades of granite. These were scattered over a base surface to achieve this volumetric effect. The base surface is also pbr textured with a gravel material and with that I was able to reduce the number of scattered objects while maintaining that rock pile general looks. All these elements are grouped by texture and labeled according its usual designation, so it is possible to separate original mesh into its several components, if you need to. I prefer to group items this way so I do not have to render it individually or include it in render layers. Please check thumbnails for full detail on every component of the model. Most of the topology is simplified to quads . The elements were unwrapped and rendered as shown in thumbnails. Environment elements and ambient light were used to show case de model and are included in the package. All dimensions in meters. The model was mainly developed in Blender. Mind that scattered rocks are disabled from viewport but enabled for render. Feel free to contact me if some doubts remain , or if you want some similar model with specific attributes or format conversion.
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION TO EVALUATE MODEL CONTENTS AND INSPECT ALL THUMBNAILS FOR DETAILS BEFORE BUY.
