I designed these hinges to accompany a 3mm acrylic door that will house my 3d printers in a modular racking system called "rack it".
I have room for 2x Prusa i3's side by side in a 900mm wide shelf made from racking available at Bunnings Warehouse...
These printed parts bolt to acrylic door and to racket upright and use a 6mm bolt as the pin for the hinge.
-Fixing hinge to upright rack uses two M4x16mm bolts with body washer and nut per hinge
-Fixing hinge to door uses two M5x16mm bolts with washer and nut per hinge
-The hinge pin needs to be a M6 by 60mm bolt or can be 55mm
Printed in PETG at 0.2mm layer height and 30% infill. The files are only for left hinge but I duplicate and then mirror in the slicer.
I designed these magnetic door catches to fit a generic 12x2mm magnet. The top catch is simply friction fit onto rack it beam. The bottom catch in screwed into the mdf shelf. I have used a 3mm acrylic ontop of mdf shelf so if you were to use this model keep that in mind...
