[25/08/2017] Romaker will change the X axis for GT2 belt very soon (actually beta testing), this remix won't be useful anymore.
Around 13€ from China for this upgrade ( search 800mm lead screw in Aliexpress ).
I choose "lead 8mm" to be close to the speed of the Y axis.
Now I can move up to 10800mm/min (180mm/s) in both axis!! The X motor is not too hot anymore.
Print it, use your drill (and some 608 bearings to hold the end of the screw) to push the nut inside the piece if it's too small (melt the plastic).
Grind a small piece of the brass bolt, like the picture.
Take 4 M3x30 screw (directly in the plastic, but you can use M3x40 and some bolts if you want).
Don't forget to change your firmware settings (400 steps per units for a 16microsteps stepper).
In Marlin, I put this settings, adjust as you want (warning: I use ACME lead 2mm with 32 microsteps in Z):
DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {400,240,3200,200}
DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {180, 180, 5, 25}
DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {100,100,20,800}
DEFAULT_ACCELERATION 100
DEFAULT_TRAVEL_ACCELERATION 100
DEFAULT_XYJERK 5.0
DEFAULT_ZJERK 0.4
