The Pythagoras Tree is a fractal created with the following process: Begin with a square, and then create two duplicates scaled down by sqrt(2) / 2. Position the duplicate squares on top of the original such that the space between the three squares is a right triangle. This process is repeated by applying this process to the original shape and adding the scaled version to the branches.
The OpenSCAD code used to create this model is included, but it should be noted that the STL exported from OpenSCAD is not manifold. The provided STL files were cleaned up with the Microsoft Model Repair Service. The rotated STL is in an orientation more conducive to 3D printing, but I have not yet tried printing this model. I will update this description when I do!
