One of the projected armaments of the futuristic Valkyrie was a space age lenticular hyper-sonic missile, Pye Wacket. This advanced missile was designed to protect the bomber against air defence systems, and would have featured ASM, AAM, ARM and SEAD modes in a single weapon. The dimensions bunted about-11ft dia, suggest the pye's would be carried on edge, permiting four or eight missiles in addition what ever primary warload was assigned. This missile could rapidly change direction, letting the B-70 drop a M=6 nuclear hammer on ground or air target's, in any direction, up to 200 nm away. The origins of the program name are obscure; certainly, a nuke inside a pair of mach six pye plates would make a hell of wacket...the project officially faded away with the cancellation of the Valkyrie, though is still shrouded in secrecy.
