In my i3 the X axis did not work well at the beginning. Just because the distance between the two holes in each end and the distance of the bearings on the carriage were not the same. There were a difference of about 2 mm and the carriage was not able to move from end to end (It was able to move close to the middle because of the flexion of the two soft rods). So I've updated the genuine Xends to free one degree of freedom. Now it works very well. The genuine Xend were from : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:119616
