UPDATE 15/05/15
I upload this new files:
modulo M5_V3.scad
x-end_V3.scad
x-end-idler_V3.scad
x-end-motor_V3.scad
Inter-change position of short & long cut for M5.
UPDATE 13/05/15
I upload this new files:
modulo M5_V2.scad
x-end_V2.scad
x-end-idler_V2.scad
x-end-motor_V2.scad
Now, the M5 hole is divided in two parts (nut1, nut2 variables):
nut1 is the short hole for a fixed M5 nut. Now you can do it a little close and insert nut with iron solder, for example, to fix it.
nut2 is the long M5 hole. You can do it a little bigger and allow the other M5 nut to move arround.
Same instructions as before. Just change the values for both variables.
FIRST DESCRIPTION:
A friend from 'Clone Wars' (spanish reprap group) ask me if I can design X-Idlers with the nut trap like Prusa i2.
It's done.
The source code is from EINSTEIN i3 variant.
I included the source Openscad files & instructions.
The example STL's included was generated from a nut radius value of 4.74mm.
Follow instructions to generate the bests results for you.
Not tested yet.
