Direct Drive Extruder for the Prusa I3, this extruder is made for 3mm filament using the prometheus hotend. Any other hotend should also work when the hotend holder is modified. I might upload another version of the hotend holder if there is enough interest in a specific hotend.
Although it's possible to mount a stepper motor directly to the extruder I recommend to purchase a geared stepper motor for some extra force. I'll provide links for the required parts below, including the geared stepper motor.
The idler works with a 624ZZ bearing and a 4mm bolt and nut. The tensioners consist of two 3x50mm bolts with nuts and 4 washers. 2 springs are required for the tension.
The geared stepper motor requires an 8mm bore MK7 drive gear. The motor is mounted to the extruder using four 3mm bolts. The extruder is mounted to the hotend holder using two 4mm bolts and nuts.
