I've taken a swing at a version of the Prusa Covid-19 face sheild headband (https://www.prusa3d.com/covid19/) with a buckle added, rather than just a nub for the elastic to attach to. I've printed it and it works great, but I'm new to 3d modeling, so I'm not sure if there are any ways to optimize it. The print time seems a bit long to me compared to the original model, so I'm open to suggestions.
I created this version of the mask for a couple reasons:
I had an abundance of elastic without button holes in it, and slicing it to fit it over the original mask's nub was causing a lot of fraying. I wanted a solution that'd work for normal elastic bands.
My wife is an ER nurse and was concerned about the porous nature of the elastic and how difficult it might be to sanitize. I figured with a buckle, the whole thing could easily be detached & thrown in a wash separate from the mask, pretty easily.
